As a Quality Control Associate I within the Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the line of business has a sustainable and disciplined end-to-end control environment, identifying and escalating issues with a sense of urgency, and partnering with the business to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner. The team assists in real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation. Your strategic thinking skills will be key in understanding the broader implications of quality issues and in driving change within the department. With your advanced skills in coaching and team building, you will guide others in their work activities, fostering a collaborative environment that values diversity and inclusivity.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 8-10 quality associates, providing guidance, training, and support
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Can manage multiple sub-functions within
- Proactively identify potential issues, risks, and trends in the QA testing process, using strategic thinking to initiate solutions
- Perform root cause analysis on identified deficiencies, leveraging your proficiency in artificial intelligence to propose improvements to business processes
- Communicate results of quality reviews to stakeholders, tracking and monitoring corrections to critical defects
- Foster a collaborative team environment and promote effective communication to enhance team performance and achieve shared objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control processes, with a strong focus on Know Your Business and Know Your Process standards, evidenced by practical application and results-driven performance.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking for identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing solutions, with a growing understanding of regulatory guidelines.
- Advanced proficiency in using computer systems and related technology for data analysis and problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze root causes of quality issues, with a track record of proposing and implementing effective solutions
- Ability to articulate findings, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes continuous learning.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Prior Default experience is preferred.
- 3-7 years of experience in financial services industry with background in Foreclosure, controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business-related function/operation
