Job Description

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Quality Engineer to support Operations and Engineering quality activities. This role is critical in ensuring sustained performance and customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle. The engineer will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, product management, and program management teams to establish and execute quality goals, resolve issues, and promote continuous improvement. The QA/QC position will primarily be responsible for quality-related tasks to support unique customer requirements, with the expectation to deliver streamlined processes to continue delivering reliable and quality products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical product documentation with understanding of product usage within customer application and environment.
  • Develop and implement a quality management strategy to improve the quality of released solutions and new product designs.
  • Demonstrate partnerships with peers, leaders, and partners.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and product management.
  • Implement metrics and dashboards to lead ongoing visibility and continuous improvement to quality objectives.
  • Lead process improvement efforts that create systemic improvements in quality and customer issue resolution.
  • Facilitate and participate in retrospectives for continuous improvement of products and processes; promote development and tracking of action items.
  • Perform risk assessments and implement early preventive mitigation action plans.
  • Maintain accountability for high-quality performance throughout the product lifecycle by overseeing field performance, leading investigations, and driving corrective actions to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Purse tasks with drive and develops timely actions.
  • Must speak English

The essentials - You will have

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years in quality, manufacturing or field service engineering, with demonstrated experience in both product development (NPI) and post-release support
  • Experience in post-release quality support, including field issue resolution, RCFA, and continuous improvement projects
  • Increase results with cross-functional team within a complex matrix organization
  • Problem-solving skills to performance results
  • Experience in QA tools and methodologies

The preferred- You might have

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications ( Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system, SAP.
  • Certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA tools and methodologies (Green Belt), CQE, AQE
  • Provide key inputs into HW, SW/FW, and product requirements with basic understanding of product and applications
