Job Description
Responsibilities/ Key Activities:
- Making sure the ingredients used is on-going maintained Halal status by maintaining valid Halal certificates from suppliers.
- Uphold plant Halal practices.
- Conduct periodic Halal Committee meeting.
- Conduct periodic Halal checks at the shopfloor and related facilities.
- Connect with Jabatan Agama Islam for Halal renewal and consultation matters.
- Make timely Halal certificate renewal.
- Maintain and implement HAS Manual requirement for Johor MU.
- Support NPD and substitution ingredients Halal certificate applications
- Support any Halal requirement by customer.
- Involve new product regulatory and existing ingredients, semi FG and FG specification compliance check on periodic basis
Qualifications
- University Degree (Bachelors) or higher in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry
- 2+ years experience in Manufacturing environment
- Must have Halal Certification
- Knowledge of quality and food safety standards and practices (ISO/ FSSC 22000, IFS, HACCP, GMP)
- Good communication and networking skills
- Knowledge in statistical applications Ability to problem solve with high accuracy and decision quality
- Languages: Local - Fluent; English - Intermediate
