The role:
As a QMS Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
- Document Compliance and Control: Verify that documentation from all JMMK departments aligns with the Documented Information Control System and maintain accurate registration of all internal and applicable external documents (e.g., from customers, suppliers, or regulatory portals).
- Requirement Management: Capture and integrate supplier, customer, and Johnson Matthey-specific quality requirements into the Quality Management System to ensure they are clearly communicated and traceable within internal systems.
- Customer Requirement Implementation: Ensure all customer quality requirements are accurately and effectively transferred to the plant through controlled internal documentation and systems.
- APQP Participation and Quality System Accuracy: Actively support the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process and ensure the on-time, right-first time (RFT) creation and maintenance of internal documentation.
- QMS Maintenance and Improvement: Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System using a risk- and opportunity-based approach, promoting quality awareness across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement & Best Practices: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and best practice methodologies to enhance overall plant performance, quality, and compliance.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree from a technical, providing a strong foundation in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quality Standards and Statistical Tools: Solid understanding of quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and experience using statistical tools for data analysis and process improvement.
- Digital Proficiency: Excellent command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), essential for documentation, reporting, and communication tasks.
- Language and Communication Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Project & Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently, with strong time management and organizational skills.
