About the Team/Role
The Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO) Lead (SME) is responsible for managing the daily operations of QMCSO services, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, providing guidance to junior analysts, and acting as a primary point of contact for clients. The role requires a deep understanding of federal regulations, particularly those under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
How you'll make an impact
Guide QMSCO analysts, ensuring they meet quality standards and timelines for case completion.
Develop and train less-experienced staff on QMCSO procedures and regulations.
Review the work and deliverables of team members.
Client relations:
Act as the primary contact for clients regarding service delivery and complex case issues.
Respond to and resolve complex issues that have been escalated by junior staff.
Administrative expertise:
Administer QMCSO services from start to finish.
Review and verify medical child support orders to ensure they meet federal legal requirements and are "qualified".
Ensure compliance with plan documents and government regulations.
Assist in updating and creating process documentation.
Case management and oversight:
Process incoming QMCSO requests, which includes notifying the participant and custodial parent and determining qualification.
Maintain complete and accurate work papers and audit trails.
Experience you'll bring
Experience in client facing positions required
Extensive experience with benefits administration, especially with Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSOs).
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a benefits, HR, or consulting environment.
Experience with ERISA and other relevant federal and state regulations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
