Job DescriptionAre you an experienced Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (QHSE) professional looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact? BEUMER Group Australia is seeking a dedicated QHSE Manager to oversee and drive safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and enforce the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Plan on-site.
- Ensure all subcontractors and personnel comply with HSE regulations and company safety standards.
- Develop and coordinate HSE training programs for BEUMER Group employees and subcontractors.
- Conduct risk assessments and proactively implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Lead incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with reporting procedures.
- Oversee site safety inspections, emergency preparedness, and compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain certification requirements (e.g., ISO 9001/14001).
- Collaborate with project teams and attend weekly coordination meetings to ensure alignment on safety objectives.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in HSE roles on large-scale industrial or EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of Australian occupational health and safety regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 & OHS Regulations 2017).
- Experience in Baggage Handling Systems or related engineering/construction environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence safety culture.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements to improve HSEQ performance.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
