We at Coforge are hiring a QE Lead – Test Automation with the following skill set:

We are seeking a hands-on QE Lead to drive automation quality and lead a distributed team for a Freight Transportation services client. This role bridges strategy and execution—you will translate architectural direction into actionable plans, ensuring high-quality delivery while staying close to the code and leading by example.

You will collaborate with global teams across the US, LATAM, Europe, and India, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and strong quality practices across web, mobile, and API layers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of QE engineers, managing planning, task allocation, and day-to-day delivery.
• Drive automation coverage across web, mobile, and API layers, with a focus on strengthening mobile testing capabilities.
• Translate automation architecture into practical execution plans aligned with delivery goals.
• Review automation code, frameworks, and test design to ensure consistency and high quality.
• Track automation coverage, stability, and progress, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Identify and remove technical and organizational blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
• Collaborate with distributed development teams to embed quality practices into engineering workflows.
• Guide the team in leveraging AI/GenAI tools to accelerate test design, data generation, and automation development.
• Support testing of AI/LLM-based features by validating output accuracy, relevance, and behavior.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including proven experience leading or managing teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in test automation across web, mobile, and API layers.
• Experience testing freight, transportation, or logistics applications (shipping, tracking, dispatch, supply chain).
• Solid experience in mobile test automation and strategies to improve coverage and stability.
• Strong API testing knowledge (functional and integration testing).
• Experience working in distributed, global teams across multiple time zones.
• Ability to balance technical leadership with hands-on development and code reviews.
• Strong communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience using AI-assisted testing tools to improve efficiency and quality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with device cloud/grid platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Test Grid, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
• Experience in scaling automation practices within evolving or growing teams.
