Job Description:
Job Title: Quality Engineer-1
Reports To: QE Manager
Location: Jaipur/Gurgaon India
Relevant Experience Required: 6 months to 1.5yrs
About the Role: Ensure quality and reliability of software products. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in QA methodologies, experience with test automation, and a keen eye for detail.
What You'll Do
- Works with engineers, team members to identify areas and methods to help improve testing efficiency, expand coverage and increase product reliability.
- Creating and execute test cases based on requirements (covering functional, performance and usability aspects), Participate in the testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
- Design and implement automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Plan/conduct functional, End to End testing across platform
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues and maintain test repository on Jira -Zephyr Scale
- Assist in investigating production issues.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
- Constantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach
- Provides timely inputs and adheres to processes defined to monitor quality assurance metrics such as defect removal efficiency, defect counts, test results, and test status
- Actively seek opportunities for learning and improving skills.
What You'll Need
- Strong understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Appium, Rest assured) and frameworks.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Working knowledge in API, related testing tools (Postman) and database testing.
- Hands-on experience with test planning, test designing and execution, implementing and maintaining quality test automation.
- Experience with Agile, other rapid application development methods
- Experience in working with Test management tool JIRA Scale and test optimization/coverage techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- BE/B.Tech/ME/M. Tech in Computer Science Engineering, Information Systems (or equivalent)
Good to have:
- Any of the following test certifications - QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB - are a plus
- Experience in E2E & Integration tests of complex systems.
- Experience in Performance testing tools such as Jmeter , Gatling etc
- Demonstrate troubleshooting and analytical skills required to resolve complex issues.
