The Role
Lead outgoing quality to ensure finished goods meet standards before dispatch. Develop OQC strategies, implement OQI processes and AQL sampling, approve/reject products, run RCA/CAPA, reduce complaints and field failures, report KPIs, support audits, and coordinate across production, logistics, and planning. Utilize SAP QM and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, 8D, PPAP).

Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% compliance of finished goods with approved quality standards before dispatch.
- Develop and manage Outgoing quality strategies based on the current challenges and establish & maintain OQC performance metrics, KPIs, and scorecards.
- Implement and monitor Outgoing Quality Inspection (OQI) processes, checklists, and sampling plans (AQL).
- Approve or reject outgoing products and ensure proper segregation and traceability of non-conforming material.
- Control and reduce customer complaints, field failures, and rejection rates.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and ensure effective corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor OQC KPIs such as PPM, rejection rate, response time, and despatch quality.
- Strong hands-on experience on SAP QM.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Ensure proper traceability, packing quality, labelling, and FIFO adherence.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to quality systems and standards.
- Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001:2015, BIS and E&Y etc).
- Thorough understanding of Quality management tools like PPAP, SPC, Measurement System Analysis, 8D, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects analysis), Control Plans, QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) etc.
- Present regular reports on outgoing quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Coordinate with production, CRI, dispatch, logistics, and planning teams to ensure smooth and compliant shipments.
- Ability to take ownership and make quality-based decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 7 Years of experience in Incoming quality management
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, Quality tools, FMEA, 8D, SPC, GD&T, BIS etc.)
