QC Supervisor

We are seeking a QC Supervisor to lead all quality control activities for a major construction project supported by an onsite portable concrete plant. This role is responsible for ensuring products consistently meet project specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards while leading quality initiatives across plant operations and construction activities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead all quality control processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and industry standards.
• Lead and supervise quality control personnel while coordinating concrete testing, inspection, documentation, and field quality activities.
• Monitor concrete production and placement quality, identifying and resolving issues before they impact project performance.
• Partner with plant operations, project teams, contractors, and customers to drive continuous improvement and maintain quality excellence.
• Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and communicate results and recommendations to project stakeholders.

What Are We Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of quality control experience within ready-mix concrete, concrete manufacturing, construction materials, or a related construction environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete quality control processes, including mix design evaluation and optimization, concrete testing procedures, specification compliance, quality standards, and interpretation of test results.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze quality performance, investigate deficiencies, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to ensure product integrity and project success.
• Experience utilizing quality control software systems or quality management platforms to monitor, analyze, document, and report quality data. Experience with Stormont, Command, Products, or similar systems is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience supervising, mentoring, or coordinating QC Technicians, laboratory personnel, or field quality staff. This position will directly oversee up to four QC Technicians.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical quality findings and recommendations to operations teams, project leadership, customers, contractors, independent testing agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance quality requirements, production demands, and customer expectations in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale construction projects, OSHA knowledge, and industry certifications such as NRMCA, ACA, or equivalent concrete quality certifications.
  

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily at an onsite portable concrete plant supporting a major construction project. Conditions may include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, dust, and elevated noise levels.
• Extended or non-standard hours may occasionally be required to support project and concrete placement schedules.
