QC Microbiology Intern

Role Overview

Legend Biotech is seeking a QC Microbiology Intern as part of the QC Microbiology team based in Raritan, NJ for our 2025 Summer Internship Program, which will run from June 9th, 2025, to August 15th, 2025. The QC Microbiology intern will work with the microbiology team to learn and support the day-to-day functions of the microbiology testing and reporting. They will help to streamline the microbiology reporting processes to support and quicken QC Microbiology turnaround times. 

Key Responsibilities  

• Work with QC Microbiology team to organize testing data for archiving and reporting. 
• Support eLIMS sample uploads for microbial identification data (Accugenix Reports). 
• Support QC laboratory activities including laboratory/equipment cleaning. 
• Track material and equipment inventory/maintenance. 
• Support shipping of microbial identification samples. 

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program within a science or engineering field
• Microbiology knowledge preferred 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical problem solving and conflict resolution skills 
• Attention to detail 
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical problem solving and conflict resolution skills
