Job Description:
Summary
We’re looking for a QA Tester with a strong manual testing background across web, API, and mobile applications. You’ll design and execute test scenarios, report defects, collaborate closely with developers and product stakeholders, and contribute to test automation foundations. The role spans functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing, including end‑to‑end flows, mobile scenarios, and CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manual Web & API Testing
Plan and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests for web applications.
Test end‑to‑end flows, including integrations with external systems.
Analyze application logs and API responses (browser devtools) to identify defects.
Validate service communication: REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, basic HTTP status codes, XPath.
Report bugs and verify fixes; provide clear, concise defect descriptions and reproduction steps.
Mobile Application Testing (Android/iOS)
Test on physical devices and emulators.
Verify behavior under varying network conditions.
Validate system permissions (camera, location, notifications).
Test installation, updates, and behavior after app restart.
Conduct UI/UX testing for design conformance and responsiveness.
Test push notifications and deep links.
Test Design & Documentation
Prepare test cases and scenarios based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
Maintain and update test documentation as systems evolve.
Produce test execution reports and coverage summaries.
Requirements Analysis & Quality Advocacy
Participate in requirements reviews.
Flag risks stemming from ambiguous assumptions or gaps.
Suggest functional improvements from a quality perspective.
Automation (Foundation & Collaboration)
Prepare test data to support automation.
Collaborate on test automation framework setup and maintenance.
Create simple automated tests (e.g., Playwright) and maintain basic suites.
Analyze automation results and report anomalies.
Release & Incident Support
Support developers in reproducing defects; perform retests after fixes.
Provide initial analysis of incidents and quality-related issues.
Participate in release assessments, smoke tests, and basic performance checks.
Qualifications (Must‑Have)
5+ years in System / Functional / Integration / Exploratory Testing and defect tracking.
Strong testing fundamentals: test case design, execution, reporting.
Experience with Agile/Scrum (and familiarity with Waterfall).
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Unix).
Practical SQL/PLSQL (e.g., SELECT, WHERE for data checks).
Experience with API testing
Some experience with test automation (e.g., Playwright)
Understanding of web application architecture and how services communicate (REST, JSON)
Experience with ALM, Jira or equivalent test repository/defect tools.
English: good to very good.
Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
Creative problem-solving and independence in executing tasks based on requirements.
Tools & Work Environment
Experience with or willingness to work in Azure DevOps (Test Plans, Boards, bug tracking).
Basic understanding of CI/CD workflows and testing in such environments.
Nice to Have
Understanding of microservices and inter-component communication.
Knowledge of WS‑Security, Bash, and XPath.
Exposure to performance testing and release smoke practices.
