Theoria is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Tech Lead to join our Software Engineering team. As a QA Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading the QA team, overseeing all testing activities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of QA methodologies, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for driving quality and efficiency in software development.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Test Planning: Oversee the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
- Test Execution: Supervise the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage and timely defect identification.
- Automation: Lead the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Defect Management: Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring defects are accurately documented, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to ensure a clear understanding of product requirements and quality expectations.
- Reporting: Provide detailed and accurate reports on testing activities, defects, and overall product quality to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the QA process and implement best practices to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performance Testing: Oversee performance and load testing to ensure the software can handle expected user loads and performance criteria.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the software development lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to ensure product quality.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QA tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, QTP), and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation.
- Methodologies: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams, with strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate defects and testing outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail).
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for QA improvements and initiatives.
