QA Senior Data Analyst

This role is responsible for evaluating data models, validating data transformations, and supporting data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in data analysis, warehousing, and cloud-based analytics, with a strong focus on improving data quality and supporting strategic decision-making.

Sabot Consulting is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient QA Senior Data Analyst to support data quality assurance efforts across Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES). This role is responsible for evaluating data models, validating data transformations, and supporting data governance initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in data analysis, warehousing, and cloud-based analytics, with a strong focus on improving data quality and supporting strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze conceptual, logical, and physical data models and flowcharts used in MES environments.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to Data Management, Metadata Management, and Master Data Management solutions.
- Develop and execute test cases to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors.
- Validate data transformations and aggregations for accuracy and completeness.
- Assess data orchestration solutions and their alignment with departmental needs.
- Communicate data quality issues and risks to stakeholders and contribute to the development of data governance policies.
- Promote a culture of data quality and support the Department’s analytics capabilities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of data analytic tools across MES systems.
- Provide guidance on emerging technologies, including AI/ML, to enhance data analytics.
- 8+ years in data analysis, statistical analysis, data mining, data visualization, or related QA fields.
- 5+ years using SQL, data manipulation languages, and data reporting tools.
- 3+ years with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- 3+ years with data quality assessment and improvement techniques.
- 2+ years with cloud-based data analytics solutions.
- 2+ years supporting data governance and data quality initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Certified Data Analyst (CDA), Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate, Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Big Data Specialty, SAS, Cloudera, or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience supporting data analytics in large healthcare systems.
- 2 years of experience using programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, or Scala.
- 2 years of experience with BI/visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik.
