We are looking for a Staff QA Engineer to lead quality across our engineering organization. This role focuses on strategy, architecture, and influence, while remaining hands‑on where it matters most.
You will design scalable QA practices, improve automation reliability, and coach engineers and QA peers to build quality into the product from day one.
- Define and own QA strategy and test architecture across teams.
- Design scalable automation approaches using JS/TS and Playwright.
- Reduce flaky tests and improve signal‑to‑noise in CI.
- Act as final quality voice for high‑risk or critical releases.
- Coach QA engineers and developers on quality practices.
- Build proof‑of‑concepts to demonstrate better approaches.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams.
- Extensive experience in QA engineering or test architecture.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright and JS/TS ecosystems.
- Experience testing APIs, data pipelines, and complex systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence without formal authority.
- Experience in data‑heavy or network‑centric products.
- Prior Staff or Principal‑level individual contributor experience.
- Exposure to CI/CD system design.
