The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the project’s quality management system to ensure that all works comply with approved specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure consistent quality in all project deliverables.
Quality Management & Compliance
Implement the project-specific QA/QC plan in line with company policies and ISO standards.
Ensure compliance with contractual specifications, international standards, and MME/UPDA requirements.
Assist in preparing quality-related procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and checklists.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct site inspections and verify that works meet approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing.
Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings from a quality perspective.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Track and close out NCRs and corrective action requests (CARs).
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to management.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
Participate in project quality meetings and audits.
Support site teams in resolving quality issues.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for process improvements in quality management.
Promote a culture of quality awareness and best practices within the project team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
Licenses & Certifications: MME/UPDA License (Mandatory); ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a QA/QC role, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing ITPs, method statements, and QA/QC documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards.
Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Combination of office and site-based work.
Exposure to construction environments and varying weather conditions.
May require extended working hours based on project demands.
