Key Responsibilities  

• Take full ownership of the quality of assigned products/features, not just finding bugs, but ensuring the overall user experience is smooth, intuitive, and aligned with business goals. 

• Think beyond the acceptance criteria: identify edge cases, missed scenarios, and potential real-world user behaviors. 

• Continuously monitor and analyze product flows (forms, funnels, registration, email journeys, etc.) and proactively highlight risks, bottlenecks, or UX issues before they escalate. 

• Suggest improvements to processes, user experience, documentation, and testing methodology. 

• Manually test web applications for functionality, usability, accessibility, and performance. 

• Create, update, and maintain test cases and testing documentation with a focus on clarity, completeness, and business value. 

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across devices. 

• Test REST APIs and validate system integrations. 

• Collaborate proactively with developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to deeply understand product requirements and challenge unclear or incomplete logic. 

• Document issues clearly with actionable steps and proper context. 

• Maintain an always-on mindset: continuously monitor critical flows and provide feedback on improvements to quality, automation potential, or product reliability. 

• Contribute ideas to improve QA processes, tools, and approaches, helping the entire team deliver better and faster. 

Basic Qualifications 

• 3+ years of experience in manual testing web applications. 

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and best practices in modern web development. 

• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and how web applications work under the hood. 

• Experience with bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar. 

• Ability to analyze complex systems, think critically, and propose improvements, not just report issues. 

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions when necessary. 

• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive mindset. 

Would be beneficial 

• Knowledge of MySQL optimization and WordPress database structure 

• Familiarity with Linux server environments and deployment processes 

• Experience with Laravel framework or Roots ecosystem (Bedrock, Sage, Trellis) 

• Experience with WordPress Multisite networks 

• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines 

• Previous work on high-traffic WordPress sites 

• Experience with advanced caching solutions (Redis, Varnish, etc.) 

• Work with WordPress CLI (WP-CLI) for deployment and maintenance tasks
