Key Responsibilities
Quality Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the overall QA and test automation strategy aligned with Valorx’s product roadmap.
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the quality champion, ensuring best practices are followed across teams and releases.
- Design, develop, and maintain a scalable automation framework from scratch.
- Evaluate, select, and standardize automation tools and technologies
- Drive automation across UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
- Ensure test automation is fully integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, installation, and upgrade testing for every release cycle.
- Validate performance, reliability, and security aspects in collaboration with engineering and DevOps teams.
- Review product requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios early.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to ensure testability and quality by design.
- Establish and continuously improve QA processes within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Track, triage, and report defects using tools like Jira, ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution.
- Communicate test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with significant focus on test automation.
- Proven experience leading and managing QA teams.
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with JavaScript-based ecosystems (JavaScript, React, Node.js).
- Solid understanding of Salesforce platform testing and ecosystem.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman (or similar).
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Background as a software developer with exposure to both frontend and backend systems.
- Experience testing cloud-native or SaaS products.
- Exposure to performance, security, or reliability testing.
- Experience scaling QA practices in a startup or high-growth environment.
