Job Description

Snap Finance is seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking SDET / QA Automation Manager to lead and scale our Quality Engineering function. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the quality strategy and delivery of cutting-edge digital and e-commerce solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a team of 15+ SDETs while directly contributing to test automation, tooling strategy, and quality engineering best practices. We’re looking for a quality champion with a strong foundation in software testing, test automation frameworks, and a passion for mentoring teams. If you’re driven by impact, eager to innovate, and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence — we want to hear from you.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 15+ QA and SDET engineers focused on automation, performance, and quality at scale.
  • Define, implement, and continually improve QA processes, standards, and best practices across web, mobile, and API platforms.
  • Drive end-to-end test automation strategy using tools such as WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, and other modern frameworks.
  • Advocate for and implement testing at all layers — UI, service, performance, and chaos testing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, DevOps, and release teams to support quality gates in the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Own and evolve our automation frameworks to increase test coverage, reduce maintenance costs, and improve execution speed and reliability.
  • Champion Agile/SAFe methodologies, and instill a quality-first mindset across product delivery teams.
  • Lead risk assessments, test planning, and execution for high-visibility releases.
  • Oversee tooling integration across test, build, and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical learning and innovation.
  • Drive cross-platform testing strategies for web and mobile applications (responsive design, iOS/Android).

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation with a strong focus on modern web and service-oriented architectures.
  • 5+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like WebdriverIO, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, with a track record of building and mentoring teams.
  • Expertise in testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills with JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in performance testing, chaos testing, and production validation.
  • Solid understanding of web and mobile testing techniques, device/browser matrix planning, and responsive testing.
  • Experience in FinTech or lending platforms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with SAFe or other Agile scaling frameworks.

What would make you stand out:

  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certifications.
  • Exposure to mobile test frameworks like Appium or Detox.
  • Cloud-native testing experience (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes-based systems).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence at all levels of the organization.
