Overview

We’re looking for a QA Lead who brings deep quality engineering expertise, leads with rigour, and operates with the autonomy and pace of someone who has done this before. You will own and be accountable for testing delivery across value streams, driving both functional and non-functional quality outcomes for Project. The platform is complex, the integrations are real, and the business impact of what you deliver is immediate. You are expected to work with modern tools and frameworks as a genuine part of how you operate.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of both functional and non-functional testing strategies for the platform, ensuring alignment with the QE Strategy.
  • Own and be accountable for testing delivery across the team.
  • Standardise testing practices and ensure compliance with the testing framework.
  • Design reusable templates to enhance the efficiency of test design.
  • Advocate for quality engineering and lead initiatives to meet platform QE goals.
  • Contribute to User Story refinement sessions to clarify acceptance criteria, monitor risks, and confirm the Definition of Done.
  • Coordinate test plans with release and environment schedules for each PI.
  • Coordinate and drive end-to-end testing with the team and stakeholders in a hands-on manner.
  • Conduct exploratory, functional, and automated progression and regression testing to ensure software quality.
  • Log and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Mentor team members and promote QA best practices.
  • Maintain thorough test documentation and adhere to testing standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for candidates with a combination of the following:   

  • At least 8 years of experience in software testing in a lead capacity.
  • Proficiency in using JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr, or similar test management tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • QE experience in Salesforce and Genesys platforms.
  • Experience testing cloud-hosted applications.
  • Knowledge or experience in insurance or finance domains.
  • Experience working with Playwright and AI-assisted testing tools.
  • Mobile testing experience.
  • Leads quality with conviction – holds the quality bar even under delivery pressure, and advocates for it.
  • Communicates with clarity and confidence across engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Forms a view before asking for direction – brings recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, pragmatic approach.
  • Brings opinions, engages with pushback genuinely, and changes their mind when the evidence warrants it.
