Payments is a core product for Cash Management and one of the growth areas in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. In order to support the growth ambitions and to remain a leading global player in the competitive payments market, significant investment in the payment infrastructure of Deutsche Bank is applied.
The team is delivering set of key applications in Payment integration platform which are single entry point for all payments not only in Corporate Bank but across the entire Enterprise. Monthly processing volume of the applications is over €100 Billion of payment transactions across 42 countries from Europe, APAC, and Americas.

As a Lead QA Automation Engineer (f/m/x), you will be responsible for defining testing strategy, automation frameworks development, performing functional and non-functional testing, proposing and implementing improvements to the full life-cycle of testing activities starting from specification and design to successful production rollout and level 3 production support. You will work in close collaboration with the respective business departments and developers/analysts/project managers from partnering teams.

Your key responsibilities

• Defining and driving test strategy, including functional, regression, and integration testing approaches
• Create, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Leading the design, development, and supervision of automated test suites and frameworks and reusable components for various platforms and technologies
• Managing quality risks, test planning, compliance reporting
• Leading in deliveries to prod: support target date deliveries, based on the clarified scope with Business team; prepare corresponding reports
• Overseeing test environments and infrastructure, ensuring stability for automation needs.
• Mentoring QA engineers and promoting best practices in test automation and quality engineering

Your skills and experiences

• Several years IT background and several years of experience in Software Quality Assurance QA automation / software development hands-on experience
• Solid knowledge of core Java, experience of backend automation, including working with REST, Oracle, jmx. Experience with Spring will be an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and practice as part of SDLC
• Expertise in cloud-native development, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or similar), and scalable distributed systems
• Experience in creating and maintaining in CI/CD pipelines (GIT, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Strategic thinking with a focus on maintainability and cross-team collaboration
