We have opportunities that you won’t find anywhere else, including hands-on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms. One of the benefits of Kyndryl is that we work with clients in a variety of industries, from banking to retail. Who You Are

You’re good at what you do and possess the required experience to prove it. However, equally as important – you have a growth mindset; keen to drive your own personal and professional development. You are customer-focused – someone who prioritizes customer success in their work. And finally, you’re open and borderless – naturally inclusive in how you work with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Automation Support: Develop and update simple automated test scripts (web and API) following the patterns established by the Senior members of the squad.
  • Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and report defects with precision, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and basic logs.
  • Basic Data Validation: Run pre-defined SQL queries to verify that data has been correctly saved or updated in the database (PostgreSQL/Cloud).
  • Test Environment Maintenance: Assist in the setup and smoke testing of test environments to ensure they are ready for the day's activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of test cases and user stories in the testing repository.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively learn the banking business logic and the technical tools used for the Mainframe-to-Cloud migration.

Required Skills & Experience

At least 2 years of experience in:

1. Foundation in Automation & Code

  • Programming Basics: Basic knowledge of Java (concepts like variables, loops, and conditions).
  • Web Basics: Understanding of HTML/CSS selectors (ID, XPath, CSS Selector) for web automation.
  • Tools: Familiarity with Postman (for simple GET/POST requests) and basic Selenium concepts.

2. Logical & Database Skills

  • Basic SQL: Ability to perform simple queries (SELECT, WHERE, INSERT) to verify data.
  • Analytical Logic: Strong ability to break down a requirement into logical "if/then" scenarios.
  • Mainframe Curiosity: Willingness to learn how to use a terminal emulator (green screen) to perform basic data lookups.

3. Methodology & Soft Skills

  • Agile Familiarity: Understanding of Scrum ceremonies (Daily, Sprint Planning, Retrospective).
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in following instructions and documenting evidence.
  • Proactivity: Courage to ask questions and seek feedback to accelerate the learning curve.

Key Expectations

  • Speed of Learning: Rapidly pick up the automation framework's "boiler plate" code to begin contributing scripts within the first few sprints.
  • Reliability: Ensure that manual execution is thorough and that no obvious "happy path" defects reach the next stage.
  • Adaptability: Ability to switch between testing a modern web interface and validating a legacy system output with a positive attitude.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with developers to understand how a specific feature was built.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with test frameworks like Selenium, Protractor etc.
  • Use of scripting languages like Python, Perl,  PowerShell, and Java script to create scripts rapidly that can integrate into the testing stage within a pipeline
