Job Description- Assist to ensure compliance of Lab QA/QC procedures as per SGS Global QA System requirements and MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Assist to ensure and enhance the management and implementation of Quality Management System in the laboratory.
- Assist to ensure Quality Manual, Procedures, SOPs, WIs, etc. are appropriately documented and implemented.
- Assist in communicating and follow up with local authorities for various accreditations and certifications.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance of laboratory to QA/QC procedures as per MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Coordinate, handle and support external audits (eg. audits from authorities, customers, etc.)
- Coordinate Proficiency Test / Inter-Laboratory Comparison activities to ensure Laboratory’s competency.
- Coordinate with Labs for communication improvement, e.g. regular meetings, TEAMS call with branches, etc
- Assist in root cause investigation for non-conformities and customer complaints and thereby develop an adequate procedure to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in providing quality and regulatory related advices to Sales / Laboratory team.
- Assist to coordinate for external training and provide internal training/briefing for Laboratory personnel.
- Responsible to support, guide and train users for LIMS.
- Responsible to troubleshoot issues related to LIMS.
- Responsible to establish SOP / work instructions for LIMS.
- Liaise with IT and Global Supports to ensure LIMS is implemented efficiently in supporting Lab processes and enhance productivity.
- To adhere to SGS Business Principles and Quality Policy.
- Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Management
- Bachelor degree in Science, Chemistry or related field from recognized university/college.
- Experience in internal audit or relevant analytical laboratory testing activities is an advantage.
- Knowledge in MS ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Able to understand/knowledge of standard test method or procedures.
- Able to communicate, coordinate and motivate a team towards a common goal.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic, flexible and innovative.
- Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
- Good in communication, read and write in English and local language.
- Acts quickly and decisively.
