About the Role
We are looking for a Sr.QA Engineer to develop key projects for Harman Remote Vehicle Updating Service (OTA) and device management, which is the most advanced and proven solution for Automotive/Mobile OEMs and Suppliers. Responsible for QA activities throughout the project life cycle. Working closely with project managers, architects, and development/peer QA engineer in Solution Engineering team.

What You Will Do
Design/execute test for automotive/mobile project
Test environment installation/setup (Client side and Server side)
Build/develop automation test
Analysis defect/problems and test report
Contribute to improve dev/test environment and quality delivery/maintenance workflow
Assist in Software development/testing of Technical Support knowledge base through contributing to documentation and issue resolution tracking
What You Need
Education: BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent
At Least 5+ years of Experience in testing complex client/server solutions
Being able to run manual tests and to implement automation.
Knowledge and willingness to work with AI tools
Develop automation frameworks for testing OTA products (client + server) in technologies: Java 11+, Cucumber, Selenium, JSystem
Knowledge using C or Java and script (Shell, Python, Groovy)
Knowledge in Linux hands-on, networking
Independent, experienced in learning new environments quickly, experienced in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Direct communication with project managers, solution managers and team leaders.
Ability to work as a team member.
Native level Japanese
Comprehensive English skills (meeting, reporting and collaboration)
What is Nice to Have
Strong foundation in object-oriented programming (OOP) with ability to apply advanced design patterns (factory, page object model, inheritance, encapsulation, etc.).
Experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI automation (web).Expertise in Locust for designing and executing performance and stress testing.
Proficient in GitHub as a development platform: branching strategies, PR workflows, Issues, GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Knowledge and experience in using: JUnit, Cucumber, JSystem, Selenium, JMeter
Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python, Groovy)
Experience & knowledge of DB – Oracle/PostgreSQL, SQL, Elasticsearch
Experience with Cloud Services like AWS/Azure/GCP
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
