At Pixellot, we’re looking for a QA Engineer who can take ownership of quality assurance across complex systems — from backend and frontend, through API testing, to hardware interaction.
You will be part of a close-knit, agile pod working collaboratively with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
What You'll Do
- Write and maintain comprehensive test plans and test documentation.
- Perform manual testing as well as design and develop automated test scripts (primarily in Python).
- Execute end-to-end (E2E) testing to validate complete flows, not just isolated features.
- Work hands-on with test automation tools and frameworks, improving coverage and reliability.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with development and PM teams.
- Use monitoring and reporting tools such as Grafana and Kubernetes to track system health and performance.
- Actively engage with developers and product managers — ask questions, challenge assumptions, and suggest improvements.
- Help evolve testing processes and best practices across the organization.
- 5+ years of experience in software QA, with strong manual testing skills and hands-on scripting abilities.
- Solid experience writing automated test scripts, preferably in Python.
- Good understanding of Kubernetes, Grafana, and API testing.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary systems that combine software and hardware.
- Ability to write clear, thorough test documentation and test cases.
- Experience working in agile pods and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, initiative-driven mindset — able to see the big picture and contribute beyond traditional QA boundaries.
- Experience with DB testing and familiarity with monitoring and data reporting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Previous experience with E2E automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of containerized environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with performance/load testing tools.
- Experience with distributed systems testing.
