About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to perform manual testing across APIs, SDKs, mobile (iOS/Android), and web platforms—especially on real devices for biometric and document validation. The role involves writing and maintaining comprehensive test cases and plans, investigating issues using logs and dev tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases. The ideal candidate will contribute to continuous process improvement, support on-site testing in Mexico City, and play a key role in validating functionality and enhancing product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing on APIs, SDKs, mobile (iOS/Android), and web applications, especially on real devices for biometric and document validation.
- Investigate issues using logs, developer tools, and test environments; collaborate with developers to support debugging.
- Write and maintain clear test cases, test plans, and reports to ensure consistent and thorough test coverage.
- Contribute to high-quality releases across multiple environments and platforms by reporting bugs and verifying fixes.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to clarify requirements, understand use cases, and validate functionality.
- Actively participate in team discussions to improve QA workflows and share knowledge.
- Be available for on-site testing in Mexico City when needed, especially for physical device testing.
Your Profile
- 2-4 years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on manual testing for APIs, mobile, and web applications.
- Solid understanding of API testing and ability to perform basic debugging using tools like Postman, browser dev tools, and logs.
- Familiarity with testing across different environments and ability to follow release processes.
- Organized and proactive in maintaining test documentation and raising clear, actionable bugs.
- Comfortable working independently while seeking guidance when needed; eager to grow and take ownership of test areas.
- On-site availability in Mexico City for device and environment-specific testing.
Nice to have
- Exposure to fraud prevention, identity verification, or security testing domains.
- Some scripting knowledge or interest in automation.
- Basic SQL for querying and validating data.
- Experience using cloud-based device testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab).
