Here’s the Gist:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the challenging role of Quality Engineer. This role will be filled located onsite at our Wolfspeed manufacturing site in Fayetteville, AR. This person will be responsible for supporting all aspects of our quality management system including supporting manufacturing quality, customer quality, and supplier quality for the Fayetteville site. To be successful in this role, the person will collaborate with internal teams within Quality, Operations & Business teams to track, maintain, and report on those processes within the Wolfspeed Quality Management System.
The Day-to-Day:
- Interface with customers on complaints and returns. Lead problem solving to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Lead the Manufacturing Quality business processes for the Fayetteville site including change management, non-conformance management, corrective actions, etc.
- Support the Supplier and Incoming Quality global team for the Fayetteville site.
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders including the factory and business unit teams.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications):
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing
- Knowledge of quality systems and semiconductor wafer fabrication including module build
- The ability to operate in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment and to execute at both a detailed level as well as a strategic level.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices. Experience with auditing to the IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO9001 standards strongly preferred.
- Basic understanding of quality core tools (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC) is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment and prioritize work accordingly
- Ability to work in large, complex, global environment, in a fast-paced environment, and remains flexible to support changing priorities.
