Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with extensive experience in manual testing for enterprise-level software. The ideal candidate is technically strong, comfortable working with complex datasets and multi-platform environments (Windows/Linux), and able to ensure product quality throughout the entire development cycle. You will collaborate closely with developers, automation engineers, and distributed teams while contributing to continuous product improvement.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Estimate testing efforts based on technical specifications;
- Design, document, and execute functional and acceptance tests for new features;
- Execute and maintain the manual regression test suite;
- Identify, log, and track software defects, usability issues, and stability problems;
- Validate bug fixes provided by the development team;
- Manage the automation backlog by collaborating with automation engineers to enhance automated test coverage;
- Create synthetic data and manage client project data in OpenWorks/Oracle environments;
- Design and execute performance tests to evaluate software behavior under various hardware configurations;
- Measure and report product stability using test suite results and defect trends;
- Identify project risks and escalate as needed.
Essential Skills
- BS or MS in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field;
- Experience testing enterprise software or experience in similar technical domains;
- Proficient in working with Windows and Linux platforms;
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and within a distributed team;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Team player, willing to mentor junior team members and collaborate across functions.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Previous experience with Landmark software products;
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for defect reporting and test case management;
- Experience managing data in OpenWorks/Oracle;
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., GitLab);
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
