Role Description
Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for ensuring testing strategies, plans and deliverables are executed for all applications and programmes of work within their domain. Work includes:
- Designing and conducting testing procedures and frameworks to verify software and other technical products to ensure expected functional performance.
- Investigating instances where software and technical products do not perform as expected.
- Designing and conducting quality assurance practices to support business development activities.
- Driving the adoption of recognised best practice and policy and contributes to the ongoing improvement of methodologies and assets for the business.
- Working with their counterparts across the business to raise the standard of QA across the bank.
- Recording of defects and the collation of metrics and KPI information for reporting purposes.
- Testing disciplines include: Performance Testing, Test Automation, Test Processes, Testing Products.
Introduction
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Test Manager to lead the quality assurance strategy and execution for the migration of SimCorp Dimension from an on-premise installation to a cloud hosted solution managed by the vendor. This is a high-visibility role requiring coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and risk-mitigated transition.

Your key responsibilities
- Define and manage the overall test strategy, test plan, and quality governance framework for the SimCorp Dimension cloud migration.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca.
- Create reusable automation components and test cases following model-based testing principles.
- Execute automated regression, functional, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Analyse test execution results and troubleshoot failures. - Participate in automation framework enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Integrate automated test execution with CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business units, IT, infrastructure, and the vendor to ensure alignment and completeness of testing coverage.
- Own the test defect management process, driving timely triage, resolution, and communication.
- Leverage Tosca features (including Vision AI where applicable) to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
- Strategically planning database usage to support Tosca automation frameworks (test data management, data-driven testing, environment provisioning
- Monitor and report test progress, risks, and issues to project leadership and escalate where necessary.
- Support go-live readiness through test completion metrics, risk assessments, and quality gates.
Your skills and experience
- 5+ years of experience in test management, with a proven track record of delivering successful testing in large-scale implementations or migrations.
- Strong understanding of Tricentis Tosca and how it fits into enterprise automation strategies.
- Strong practical expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in cloud migration projects, preferably involving vendor-hosted financial platforms.
- Solid understanding of test data management principles and how databases integrate with model-based tools like Tosca.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in asset management, investment operations, or financial services.
- Familiarity with agile/hybrid project delivery models and modern QA practices.
- Experience managing test efforts involving third-party vendors and cloud service providers.
