Job DescriptionSummary
The Authorizations squad is responsible for processing and validating financial transactions in real time, ensuring that all operations comply with the authorization rules defined by issuers and clients. Operating within the critical payment authorization layer, the team handles complex business logic, high availability, and performance requirements. We work with modern technologies and distributed architecture to ensure transactions are secure, fast, and reliable.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to identify new automation opportunities and application faults.
- Collaborate with other QA professionals to promote best practices across the organization.
- Develop and maintain QA tools and frameworks to support automated testing.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the QA field.
- Define and implement design principles for automated test procedures.
- Write and maintain automation scripts integrated into software applications.
- Support teams in developing complex end-to-end automated testing solutions and performance tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Create and document detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Communicate test progress, results, and quality metrics effectively.
- Identify quality issues, report bugs, and highlight problem areas.
- Promote high-quality standards through reusable and scalable testing strategies.
- Execute exploratory, usability, and manual tests when necessary.
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
Qualifications- For this role, you must be based in Brazil
Language Skills
- Proficiency in English at B1 level (Intermediate) or above.
Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in the Quality Assurance field.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with various test types: end-to-end, contract, load, and chaos testing.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript).
- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial systems.
- Experience working in high-scale and high-availability environments.
- Understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).
- Basic knowledge or experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and S3.
