Job Summary:

We seek a skilled QA Engineer Analyst to join our team at a leading broker dealer in the capital markets. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our data warehouse, which stores critical trade data used for regulatory reporting, financial reporting, risk management, and operational trade support. The analyst will perform comprehensive testing of data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting systems to maintain data integrity, compliance, and business intelligence accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and reporting systems using Snowflake and Python.

- Validate data quality, accuracy, and integrity within the trade data warehouse.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including regulatory, finance, risk, and operations to ensure reporting requirements are met.

- Perform regression testing and automate test scripts for data models and queries.

- Identify, document, and track defects in data processing and reporting workflows.

- Support CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.

- Participate in data governance, security testing, and compliance validation initiatives.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on data testing and validation.

- Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, pytest, JUnit).

- Knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing and Python programming for test automation.

- Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data; familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server desired.

- Experience in ETL processes, data pipeline testing, and data warehousing concepts.

- CI/CD experience using GitHub and Git Actions, Team City, or SDA.

- Understanding of Veracode scans, security testing, and data security best practices.

- Control M experience for scheduling and validating batch processes.

- Experience working within a large database development project team.

- Knowledge of capital markets, financial data, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, FINRA).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in broker dealer or financial services environment.

- Certifications in QA methodologies (e.g., ISTQB) or cloud data services.

- Knowledge of additional testing tools and scripting languages.

- Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI for report validation.

- Understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to understand financial products and how they are reported by Product Control and Finance departments within an investment bank.

- Prior experience supporting internal management reporting, particularly trading data.

- Ability to stretch oneself based on group needs to support reports production cycles.

- Comfortable with on-call or out-of-hours support and a flexible approach to working hours.

- Develop strong working relationships with Businesses, Finance, Technology, Audit, and Independent Risk across the organization

Other Qualifications:

- As per MUFG’s work policy for all personnel, candidates must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely.

- The typical base pay range for this role is between $83K - $98K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
