POSITION TITLE: QA Development Engineer
NAME OF EMPLOYER: TransPerfect Inc.
JOB DESCRIPTION:TransPerfect, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Development Engineer who will work with the Technology Development and Quality Assurance Group. Remote work is allowed. They will use their skills in manual and automated testing technologies in their collaborations with these groups.
Specifically, the Quality Assurance Development Engineer will:
- Research, design and build efficient automation framework and automated test suits.
- Create, execute, analyze, and report test results to agile delivery team.
- Create branching strategy and policies for high-quality automation deliverables
- Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component.
- Identify automatable areas for new modules and implement an automation framework.
- Design & develop pipeline as code for Continuous testing pipeline to integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipeline.
- Drive automation efficiencies and coverage effectiveness using different tools and techniques.
- Review the development code to build effective automation suite to cover technical and business integration automation coverage.
- Mentor quality engineers on automation best practices and support automation backlog efforts.
- Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes.
- Estimate own testing tasks and work productively with minimum supervision while showing excellent team attitude.
- Create and review test cases to maximize potential for automated test execution.
- Assess and evaluate new tools and testing methodologies.
- Provide peer feedback in design and code reviews
The position requires a master’s degree in Computer Science (or its foreign equivalent) or related field. The successful candidate must also have two (2) years of experience as a QA Engineer, which includes two (2) years of experience with the following:
• Java
• Confluence
• Git
• Eclipse
• SQL
• JIRA
• Jenkins
• Selenium
RATE OF PAY: $103,418.00/yr. - $103,418.00/yr.
