Bring your energy to Aggreko as QA Completion Engineer, site based Central Qld.
The QA Completions Engineer will support construction quality, completions and handover for a major hybrid power plant project in Central Queensland. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, the role will work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, subcontractors and vendors to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans, quality requirements and handover standards.
The role requires a practical, site-focused engineer who can drive subcontractor compliance, verify construction quality, manage completions evidence, support punch list close-out and ensure systems are ready for pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.
What you’ll do as QA Completion Engineer ;
- Support implementation of the project Quality Management Plan, ITPs, check sheets, quality registers, test records and completions processes.
- Review subcontractor ITPs, quality plans, MDRs, inspection records, test packs and handover documentation for compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate and witness inspections, hold points and witness points across mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, equipment installation, cabling, testing and vendor works.
- Ensure subcontractors follow approved QA processes, drawings, specifications, standards and agreed construction methodologies.
- Raise, track and close out quality issues, defects, NCRs, punch list items and corrective actions with construction, engineering and commissioning teams.
- Maintain accurate QA and completions records, including inspection status, test records, MDR status, punch list progress and system handover readiness.
You are:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Experience in site-based QA, completions, construction engineering, field engineering, commissioning support or project engineering roles.
- Familiarity with construction ITPs, MDRs, QA packs, inspection records, NCRs, punch lists, handover dossiers and completions systems.
- Experience working with subcontractors and vendors in a construction environment.
- Exposure to power generation, renewable energy, BESS, solar, mining, oil and gas, utilities, industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, inspection requirements and construction documentation.
- Strong practical understanding of site construction, inspection, verification, documentation control and handover requirements.
- Demonstrated practical, site-focused approach with high attention to detail, clear communication skills and the ability to consistently follow up actions through to close-out.
- Willingness to work FIFO from Brisbane to a Central Queensland project site.
Location: This role typically operates within a project office environment on and off site, which could be in remote locations.
