QA Automation Engineer (Selenium, Appium, and TestNG)

Software Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of software testing principles.
• Experience in developing and maintaining automated testing scripts.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Ability to write test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts.
• Write comprehensive test plans, test cases, and detailed bug reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing and automation.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on testing activities.
• Continuously improve testing processes and frameworks.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Strong experience in developing and maintaining automated testing scripts.
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or TestNG.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
• Write, review, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Report and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Perform regression testing to ensure software stability over time.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation.

Qualifications & Soft Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your testing skills and experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
