Job Description

Summary:

Experienced QA Automation Tester with 6+ years of expertise in software quality assurance, automation testing, and API validation across enterprise web and application platforms. Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Postman, and Rest Assured. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD practices. Skilled in functional, regression, integration, API, and database testing with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions and improving test efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver with Java.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of web applications.

• Develop and execute API automation test suites using Rest Assured and validate APIs using Postman.

• Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks following industry best practices.

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.

• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality deliverables.

• Execute manual testing activities where automation is not feasible.

• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Perform database validations using SQL queries to ensure data integrity and consistency.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing initiatives.

• Generate test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation strategies.

• Support release validation, smoke testing, and production deployment activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field

• 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance

• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java

• Proven expertise in API Testing using Postman and Rest Assured

• Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks

• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA processes

• Experience working with CI/CD tools and version control systems

• Strong SQL skills for database validation and testing

• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and Zephyr

• ISTQB Certification or equivalent QA certifications preferred

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
