As we scale, we are looking for a Head of QA Automation to lead the transformation of our testing infrastructure, moving from manual QA processes to a robust, modern, and scalable automation-first approach.
On your day to day:
As Head of QA Automation at Riverside, you will lead the shift from manual to automated testing across all platforms, backend, frontend, mobile, and audio/video. You'll define quality standards, implement automation tools suited to our stack (React, Node.js, WebRTC), and integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines. Working closely with engineering, product, and DevOps, you’ll mentor QA team members and drive a culture of speed, coverage, and quality.
What will make you stand out:
- 6+ years of experience in QA, with at least 4 years focused on test automation.
- Proven experience leading the shift from manual to automated testing in a fast-paced tech company.
- Strong hands-on automation experience using Playwright with a background in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how to integrate testing workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, able to collaborate cross-functionally and drive change.
- Proven ability to lead and align distributed teams and cross-functional stakeholders without direct management authority.
