The Role
What you will do. A glimpse in your role: 

The holder of this position is responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of quality ensuring and promoting measures like reviews and tests. 
He/she will be part of a team and contribute his/her efforts towards the goals set forth for the team in alignment with the guidelines and quality and test strategy set forth by the QA organization. He/she will continuously focus on the quality of the products the team produces as well as the overall functioning of the systems and processes of GB.
He or she will carry out the duties and take over the responsibilities laid out below for the products and components assigned to him or her.

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Analyse incoming requirements for completeness and testability.

  • Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases.

  • Understand the business purpose and processes of the tested application for being able to perform reasonable exploratory tests.

  • Defect detection/documentation/tracking and retesting (JIRA).

  • Maintain the automation framework and automated test cases to reduce manual efforts and deliver quick test results.

  • Create and maintain the required test data and environment (auto-deployment of applications).

  • Coordinate QA activities within the team and cooperate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other QA engineers (in same/other teams).

  • Main KPI’s: test coverage and Test automation coverage.

Key competencies to empower your journey. You'll drive towards success if: 
  • Min. 5 years of experience in testing/quality assurance.

  • Solid understanding of QA responsibilities within an agile software development team.

  • Experienced in test automation (writing automated tests, maintaining framework).

  • Experienced in testing REST API (preferably JAVA).

  • Good level of knowledge in Java to create and maintain automated tests.

  • Good level of knowledge in MS SQL Server – Backup/Restore DBs, validate data in database AND manipulate data (insert, delete, update).

  • Payments industry experience is beneficial (credit card, merchant processing, banking, financial services, etc.).

  • University degree is a plus.

  • ISTQB certificate is a plus.
