Position Overview
Become a member and participate in a varied Software Engineering Scrum team in the Civil Infrastructure Product Line Group in Potsdam.
Our team develops Civil Engineering software to be used in the cloud as well as on a desktop to help civil engineers during both the design and the review process.
We are looking for an individual who is committed to working in an Agile team, has great attention to detail, and is passionate about testing desktop software and cloud solutions. You should be able to create and execute test strategies for the validation of complex software. You have a customer focus and the ability to drive quality in a predictable manner. While the focus is on automated testing, manual testing will also be one of your duties.
In this role you will have a significant impact on how we design, build and deliver our products to millions of professionals. You will work in a cross-functional team focused on building and maintaining software for various products and components. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of unique challenges which will give you the chance to learn modern technologies and grow your skills.
The Potsdam office is situated in Babelsberg, easily reachable by public transport. You can get a desk assigned or work in a Hybrid model.
Responsibilities

Support both manual and automated testing. Create new test cases, maintain existing ones. Create test data and scripts to support automated testing

Analyze and decompose a complicated software system

Develop test strategies that are complete and concise

Execute high quality test plans to deliver an amazing user experience

Perform functional testing, regression testing, ongoing system integration and periodic build verification tests as part of each product release cycle

Find defects in features during development and in production, isolate, confirm and log defects, work with the team to prioritize and fix them

Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as Daily StandUps, Sprint Planning, Backlog-Grooming, Sprint Retrospectives, …

Work with the Agile team at improving the Quality Assurance process and be an ambassador for quality
Minimum Qualifications

Proficient in a modern programming language, preferably JavaScript, C#

Passion to improve product quality

Customer oriented approach to Quality Assurance

Attention to detail

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

Solid German knowledge, solid English knowledge
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

Working experience or educational background in the AEC industry is a plus
-
Experience with Git or similar source code revision control system

Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Test Automation

Experience with Windows and Linux
