Department OverviewDigital Recognition Network (DRN), a Motorola Solutions company. DRN is a data analytics company that provides vehicle location data, License Plate Recognition and analytics to auto lenders, insurance carriers and other commercial verticals. We are looking to grow our team, which supports DRN, SCM, and MVTrac. DRN maintains the largest database of scans and the numbers continue to grow daily. Our Product Management unit produces and implements software products for clients across all commercial verticals.
With over 20 Billion rows of license plate and geospatial data, Digital Recognition Network (http://drndata.com) is a fast-growing License Plate Recognition Data company that is seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and scripts. You will collaborate closely with our development and quality assurance teams to identify areas for improvement and drive the automation strategy forward.
Job Description

  • Analyze functional requirements to identify software test scenarios

  • Write, maintain, and execute test cases at all levels of testing on multiple web applications and platforms

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-leading automation tools and frameworks

  • Identify, analyze, manage and document defects and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with the requirements and specifications

  • Research and support escalated issues from technical support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and identify areas for automation

  • Ensure the quality of new releases – unit test verification and system level testing

  • Work closely with software developers to reproduce and explain defects

  • Continuously improve and optimize existing automation frameworks for maximum efficiency and coverage.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 3 years related work experience.

  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role, preferably in an Agile development environment.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect tracking.

  • Proficient in understanding and writing Javascript programming language.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of web services testing (RESTful APIs, SOAP).

  • Experience with cloud-based testing platforms.

  • ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US.
