Role Overview:
The Automation QA Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tooling solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our integration ecosystem (Salesforce, Boomi, NetSuite) and broader application landscape. This role combines software development skills with quality engineering principles to build scalable automation solutions, reduce manual testing effort, and accelerate release cycles while maintaining high-quality standards.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Technical Architects to review requirements and ensure testability and clarity
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks for API, integration, and UI testing
- Implement automation best practices (Page Object Model, data-driven testing, modular design) across different testing layers
- Build monitoring and reporting tools for test execution and quality metrics
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze automation results and provide insights to development teams
- Investigate, reproduce, and log defects, and follow through to resolution in coordination with the development and product teams
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying testing gaps, suggesting tools, or automation enhancements
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance/software development or test automation engineering
- Understanding of QA principles, test case design, regression testing, and defect lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, TestRail, Xray) and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
- Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#)
- API Automation: experience with API testing
- Test Frameworks: Experience with testing frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, pytest, Robot framework)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD Integration
- Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
