QA Automation – Data Oriented

• Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join our team, focused on backend testing and data validation. This role requires strong experience in Python for automated testing, proficiency in API testing tools, and a solid understanding of databases and AWS services. The ideal candidate is passionate about backend systems, APIs, and ensuring high data quality across complex workflows.

• Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design and implement automated backend test cases using Python

• Perform API testing using ReadyAPI and/or Postman, validating REST APIs and analyzing responses

• Conduct end-to-end testing of data ingestion pipelines from source systems (DBs, Kafka, files) into AWS environments

• Create test scenarios and set up test data across multiple databases (MySQL, Informix, MS SQL Server, Hive, RDS)

• Analyze and validate test results; log issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects

• Work with AWS tools such as EC2, S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, and Airflow

• Collaborate with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Harness

• Use Swagger for API documentation and testing

• Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with emphasis on backend and data testing

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Ability to work in a remote, agile environment

• Role-specific Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python for backend testing

• Solid experience in API testing using ReadyAPI and/or Postman

• Intermediate knowledge of SQL

• Experience working with MySQL, Informix, and MS SQL Server

• Familiarity with AWS services: EC2, S3, Athena, Glue, Redshift, Airflow
