The role of QA Assistant at LGC or equivalent experience offers a remarkable opportunity for those enthusiastic about quality assurance and motivated to support a leading manufacturing environment. You will work under the direction of the QA Manager at our head office in Prenton, Wirral. This position involves assisting in the upkeep of the Quality Management System (QMS) and guaranteeing its adherence to ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 standards. Your duties will encompass handling complaints and deviations and contributing significantly to the routine activities within QA.
Role and Responsibilities
- Document control activities to ensure flawless record-keeping and compliance.
- Handling deviations and complaints, including conducting root cause investigations and providing resolutions to customers or collaborators.
- Maintain an awareness of the requirements of ISO 17025 & ISO 17034 to support the functions of the QMS.
- Participate in internal audits, including area safety audits, to strictly uphold safety standards.
- Develop, apply, and enhance standard operating procedures to ensure efficient operations aligned with the company’s quality management system.
- Monitoring supplier performance to determine and ensure they meet our high standards.
- Review production batch records for completeness and release.
- General administrative tasks, including filing of records, to ensure smooth and organized operations.
- Support safety activities, including reviewing COSHH and Risk Assessments to successfully implement safety protocols.
Essential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- A Level or HNC/HND or equivalent in Chemistry or related subject.
Desired
- Over 2 years industrial work experience.
- Experience in carrying out audits and investigations of non-conforming work.
- Experience working with reference materials and chemical standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 and 17034 accreditation standards.
