Job Description

  • The QA Architect/Consultant is a senior position responsible for the Software Quality Assurance team, leading new and existing Quality Assurance initiatives, and will be instrumental in managing QA processes, driving test methods, risk analysis, resource planning and estimating for client projects.

Can demonstrate extensive experience designing QA solution architectures for Agile, Waterfall, KanBan, and Hybrid Software Development Life Cycles

The ideal candidate will have 

  • Excellent English communication skills, 
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Software development experience
  • Deep understanding of formal QA tools, methodology/processes 
  • Working knowledge of service virtualization.

Required to be the technical consultant with client(s). 

Conducting pre-sales/business development activities for onsite client meetings and expect to be a senior billable resource 50% of the time

Qualifications

The QA Architect drives the test automation and performance strategy(s). The architect sets the technical direction for the QA work and leads the functional, automation and performance team(s). The Architect works closely with development and the test team to meet the quality objectives of the client organization.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • QA professional with 10+ years software industry and management experience
  • Five years test automation experience with a minimum of three years at a senior level.
  • Experience in selecting, designing, and implementing test automation and performance testing
  • Strong hand-on experience with any testing tools in
    • Test Management & Bug Tracking
      • Jira, HPQC, Rally, qTest, Zephyr, Test Complete
    • Automation
      • Selenium, QTP, UFT, Appium
    • Performance Testing
      • Load Runner, Performance Center, Jmeter, Grinder
    • Continuous Integration 
      • Jenkins, Docker, Maven, Bamboo, TeamCity, Ant
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent business degree.

Desired Skills/Competencies:

  • Experience testing in Banking, Insurance, Government, Healthcare or other industry verticals.
  • Stong experience in designing and building automated test frameworks In Java, Python or Ruby
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal),
  • Successful track record as a 'hands on' leader within QA teams, building and managing teams to a level of top-notch professionals
