Job Title: QA Analyst

Locations: Boston MA – Hybrid 6x a month (Hiring locally only)

About the Role

The OMS product is a client-server based, front to back office solution for investment managers, and the OMS PAM team works to build allocation management and trading related products. As a result, we work in a fast-paced environment where continuous integration and delivery are crucial to success. You will collaborate with product development and product managers to help release new functionality, incrementally, to our clients. We work in a collaborative and fun environment, and we are seeking Engineers in Test who can, not only bring their experience to the team, but can also explore new and interesting ways for us to efficiently test our products.

How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Play a major role to improve quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products through automation and Agile methodologies.
  • Analyze business requirements to develop complex and execute comprehensive test plan with systematic QA methodology including Performance, Security testing.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement of testing process and procedures by analyzing reported bugs and assessing test coverage around these areas.
  • Evaluate quality risks to our clients for product changes and propose test strategy to address risks.
  • Autonomously writes complex automation at multiple levels of testing pyramid.
  • Introduces new tools, frameworks, or processes to automation for their team.
  • Reviews all automation testing code for other QA/DEV.
  • Lead and train newer QA/DEV team members on how to write automation.
  • Sets sprint and release level quality goals for team. Also measures, monitors, and enforces agile and quality metrics.
  • Recommend design improvements and corrections through planning sessions and code review to engineers throughout the development process.
  • Creating and expanding automated regression test suites to increase test case coverage to continuously improve efficiency, reliability and determinism of existing tests.
  • Assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues
  • Coordinate and manage client User Acceptance Testing efforts in collaboration with Product Owners.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a major or minor in Computer Science or similarly technical/quantitative field; equivalent work or project experience.
  • Career minded individuals who are eager for technical challenges and like to problem solve.
  • Strong analytical skills with financial data.
  • Well-versed in software quality assurance processes and the software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven passion and interest in technology.
  • Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Can easily plan, commit, and deliver to meet scheduled deadlines.

It would be great if you also:

  • Experience with software testing.
  • Automation experience at the unit, API or UI level.
  • Experience with writing and designing test plans.
  • Experience with MS SQL or SQL equivalent.
  • Experience with scripting languages like bash or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI tools like Jenkins or TeamCity.
  • Object Oriented Programming experience.
  • Experience with test automation and working in an AGILE/scrum environment

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 70000 USD to 90000 USD.
