If you're an experienced Python developer ready to lead and passionate about clean data, impactful tech, and music, this role might be just what you're looking for.
You’ll be working on Crescendo — a core tool built for Re:Sound, the Canadian performance rights organization. Crescendo consolidates and de-duplicates recording metadata and rights holder information from multiple Canadian societies. It’s essential infrastructure that ensures accurate and fair royalty distribution.
Your work will directly power Harmony, the software that takes Crescendo’s clean data and turns it into royalty payouts for artists and labels.
This role is ideal if you're based in Latam, especially in Colombia, Peru, or Argentina, where we already have legal entities and can onboard you smoothly.
You’ll need strong Python skills, plus experience leading projects or teams. You should feel comfortable making technical decisions, mentoring others, and owning outcomes.
If you've never worked with Django or MongoDB, better that you skip this one.
If you’ve worked with music tech, data-heavy products, or just believe in building systems that support artists, you’ll feel right at home.

- 6+ years of experience as a software developer
- Strong, working knowledge of python.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB.
- Experienced designing distributed systems, queues, caches, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Elasticsearch
- Strong knowledge of UNIX.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Interested in understanding the music industry through our data.
- You are a great mentor and enjoy helping less experienced colleagues grow.
- Being proactive - you feel that you need to scale the system, you need to improve what is currently in place in order to always have the best platform, you don't need anybody telling to you what's your next step
