About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Python Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Python applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python programming, along with experience in software development methodologies.
We are building out our Python development capability transition from a consultant led team to an in-house team, which will provide opportunities for influence and impact in shaping the team and products.
We are building several products ranging from web applications to data processing with a view to add AI/ML in the near future.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Python applications, following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
- Mentoring other team members
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with the latest Python technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, ideally someone looking to take more responsibility.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language and data structures.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python Frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask or others)
- Experience with relational databases and good understanding of database design
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git)
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work in the office in Pune, India (5 days a week)
- Amenable to work 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM IST
