Python Developer -Sr Level

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking an experienced Python Developer with hands-on experience in messaging brokers to support Remote Monitoring and Logging System applications in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

This is a 100% on-site position. 

Essential Job Duties:

• Provide 2nd Level Engineering support for RMLS.
• Collaborate with agile teams to develop, execute, and maintain software in alignment with FAA requirements.
• Develop, test, and deploy Python applications with a focus on messaging and event-driven architecture.
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices. 
• Design and implement messaging workflows using brokers like RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, or similar technologies. Including integration and optimization.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives within an Agile team environment.
• Provide feedback op process, suggesting areas of improvement.
• Assist with RMLS troubleshooting and Help Desk Support. 
  
• Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and occasional non-standard work hours. After hours installs and support may be needed.
• Occasional travel (less than 5%).
• Cubicle environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

• Highly Proficient in:
  • Python
  • Development frameworks
  • Message queuing, pub/sub models, and event-driven architecture.
  • Writing test documentation, such as test cases/procedures and reports.
• Experience in:
  • REST APIs, microservices, and asynchronous programming.
• Have strong attention to details and willing to take initiative.
• Ability to:
  • Work independently, as well as on a team.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate defects within a complex software system.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.

Preferred:

• Prior FAA Test experience.
• Experience in:
  • Python Developer with hands-on experience in Messaging brokers.
  • Database development in Oracle/SQL/NoSQL.
  • Java or Go.
  • Monitoring and logging tools related to messaging systems.
  • Working on Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), using JIRA or similar defect/bug tracking tools.
• Familiar with: 
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Math and 9 years related experience.

Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.

The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
