Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The Purchasing Co-Op supports the Purchasing Center of Excellence (CoE) team in data analysis, supplier management, and process improvements. This role provides hands-on experience across purchasing systems, supplier risk management, automation initiatives, and global collaboration, while contributing to reporting and strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and maintain forms related to supplier risk management
- Follow up with commodity teams for missing or incomplete supplier information
- Work with plants to support monthly data alignment and reporting improvements
- Collaborate with global region colleagues to support global supplier risk management activities
- Enter and update supplier data in purchasing systems and platforms
- Support automation initiatives related to spend tracking and cost savings
- Partner with IT to assist in the development of Power BI dashboards and reporting tools
- Learn and support current purchasing processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintain data lists, tracking files, and standard purchasing reports
- Conduct market research, including AI and industry trends, and provide bi-weekly briefings to leadership
- Support trade compliance initiatives and related projects
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support purchasing and management requests
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in:
- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Finance or related field
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Interest in purchasing, supply chain, or data analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
