POSITION OVERVIEW
The Purchasing Requisition Specialist I will act as an administrative member of the indirect purchasing team, provide support as the first level engagement for indirect purchases for the business including data entry, problem solving, redirection, and solution providing to meet the needs of the internal customers and the requirements of our purchasing standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support business stakeholders in the supplier add process steps.
- Execute the purchase requisition process by creating 20+ purchase requisitions per day for business stakeholders within all purchasing formats/processes.
- Perform the necessary tracking and follow up to complete or redirect the requisition/PO/payment process.
- Align the organization to the purchasing requirements (ex. quotes, approvals etc.) necessary to complete the process.
- Frequent productive collaboration and support of Indirect Buyers and Commodity Managers, Legal, etc.
- Perform accounting support activities such as: close POs, change account numbers, payment terms and project numbers, as necessary.
- Produce exceptional data accuracy, data integrity and reporting within an expected timeline.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
- Highschool Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of professional business experience including at least 1 year of purchasing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proven ability to learn new systems.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Program Management, Information Technology (IT), other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of relevant purchasing experience.
- Purchasing Systems Experience, Oracle, Maximo and other similar software.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment, self-motivated and flexible.
- Strong organizational, execution and follow-up skills.
- Demonstrates the flexibility to adapt to changing work environments.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
