Responsibilities
The roles are the following ones:
· Be the Purchasing for local capital / capex purchase, manage the
RFQs, lead negotiations, contract with suppliers and develop new vendors and
manage their performance.
· Be the single point of contact to the plant managers / operations head, ensure
the requirements are clearly understood technically and planning wise with
clear understanding of the full production lines.
· Deploy the Group purchasing strategy and contribute to the deployment of
the contracts which are negotiated by the Category Managers.
· Monitor the financial purchasing performance of the plants and track the
budgets of the lines and its cost escalation & savings.
· Propose and manage regional or national purchasing synergies.
· Be the guarantor of the continuous improvement of the purchasing process.
· Understand production process and value add the lines by sourcing newer consumables
to ensure either high productivity or cost savings.
· Work with project and operations team and ensure the availability of materials
in time to meet the demand and schedule of projects and production.
· Oversee purchase department. Develop and implement procedures and policies
for the department.
Requirements

· BE / B-TECH in Engineering
· Knowledge of inventory management and vendor management.
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in purchasing, in industrial or /and
laboratory purchase.
· Proven financial management business performance;
· Ability to promote best purchasing and procurement practices
· Proficiency with Ms-Excel & SAP
· Value for money, compliance enforcement, prompt and transparent
financial reporting.
· Ability and willingness to understand the technical elements of the
categories
· Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
· Strong negotiation and communication skills both internally and
externally.
· Desire to work in an organization where there is a culture of urgency,
personal accountability, and of striving ‘to perform’.

· Experience – Min. 6 Years
Skills Required
- BE, B.Tech, or engineering degree
- Minimum 10 years of purchasing experience in industrial and/or laboratory purchasing
- Knowledge of inventory management and vendor management
- Proven financial management and business performance experience
- Ability to promote purchasing and procurement best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SAP
- Experience with financial reporting, compliance enforcement, and cost management
- Ability to understand technical elements of procurement categories and production processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong internal and external negotiation and communication skills
- English and Hindi language proficiency
- Minimum 6 years of experience
